The 10th Annual Getting it Right…Keeping Your Child Safe  Event - Thursday 4th March 2021

Please find attached a flier for the latest ‘Getting it Right…Keeping Your Child Safe’ event due to take place on Thursday 4th March 2021.   Perth and Kinross Council and partners are providing a free online seminar for parents, carers and professionals broadly based around online safety and the theme of ‘Keeping Your Child Safe.’

This year brings the 10th ‘Getting it Right…Keeping Your Child Safe’ event, and by moving the event online, we aim to build on the success of previous seminars which have been very positively received, each having recorded an attendance of between 450 and 550 delegates over the course of the day.  The impact and importance of the events was recognised in 2016 when ‘Getting it Right…Keeping Your Child Safe’ was shortlisted as a finalist in the Scottish Cyber Awards.  With that in mind, I would ask that representatives reserve a place as there will be wide publicity for the day, and I would not want anyone to be disappointed.

This event will be held online via Microsoft Teams Live Events. There will be three identical presentations over the course of the day:
            9.15 - 11.30am
            12.45 - 3.00pm
            5.15 – 7.30pm
Delegates registering for the second and third session will view a recording of the morning seminar.   It will not be possible to access the event without registering in advance.
Places can be booked via Eventbrite  using the link below:

This event is about keeping children safe, so please tell everyone about it!  “It’s everyone’s job to make sure I’m ALRIGHT”.  The speakers will be providing interesting, relevant and up-to-the-minute information about keeping children safe in our digital environment.

Unfortunately, due to the content of some of the presentations, no persons under the age of 16 will be permitted to attend.
