Teams is a “chat-based” tool that provides remote and dispersed teams with the ability to work together and share information via a common space. It’s features include document sharing, and team chat.
Some of you may already be using as part of your “working from home” routine.
For schools, Teams is available via Office 365 (which we have access to through Glow) and is now used regularly in high schools. Although as a school we use SeeSaw to for issuing/sharing our class work we would encourage pupils to become familiar with Teams especially at the senior end of the school.
PKC have allowed for Microsoft Teams to be used for “class chats” (verbally only). We have therefore established weekly class meetings from P3 upwards.
The general advice from PKC Digital Skills team is to use Microsoft Teams via the app rather than through Glow. Attached is some guidance on how to download.
